Actors like Angelina Jolie and George Clooney are also no strangers to philanthropy. Jolie has served as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) since 2012. She has worked on projects to help women and children affected by war and displacement.
George Clooney, meanwhile, is the co-founder of Not On Our Watch, an organization dedicated to preventing mass atrocities such as genocide.
And it’s not just older generation, millennials also have some really great philanthropist among them like Selena Gomez, Emma Watson and Beyoncé. Selena Gomez has been a UNICEF ambassador since 2009, and has used her platform to raise awareness about child poverty, education, and other issues.
Watson is a vocal advocate for gender equality, and has served as a Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women. Beyoncé’s BeyGOOD initiative focuses on supporting and uplifting underprivileged communities, particularly those affected by disaster, poverty, or other crises.
